TSTC Receives SBA HUBZone Designation
Tannersville, VA. (February 26, 2010) - Total Systems Technologies Corporation (TSTC) announced today that it has received SBA HUBZone Designation - certification number 33271. The U.S. Small Business Administration HUBZone program is designed to promote job growth, capital investment, and economic development to historically underutilized business zones by providing contracting assistance to businesses located in these economically distressed communities. The agencies of the U.S. federal government are required by the HUBZone Empowerment Act to contract with HUBZone certified small businesses for more than 3% of their budget in the form of prime contracts to HUBZone firms.
TSTC's principal office located in in Tannersville, Virginia, is the first of multiple efforts TSTC is undertaking to identify motivated, qualified IT resources outside of the Washington DC Metropolitan area to support our State and Federal clients. TSTC's new SBA HUBZone designation means Federal program managers, contracting officers, and contracting specialists will have an easy avenue to allow TSTC to deliver our services, assisting Federal agencies in meeting small business contracting goals and facilitating alignment with the efforts of both the Administration and Congress to promote economic development and employment growth in distressed areas.
